1839/6 N-1 R3+ Overdate 9 over 6 PCGS graded VF30. Glossy light greenish olive brown and chocolate. No roughness and only a few trivial contact marks. The best identifying marks are a collection of small nicks in the field off the end of the chin and a small planchet flake at the lower point of star 12 (as struck). EDS showing no hint of a die crack through star 4 to the nose. The overdate feature is sharp and obvious to the unaided eye. A very nice example of this popular "Redbook" overdate variety. Our grade is F15. The overdate is noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $1,750 - UP
