Sale 106

Lot 470

1867. PCGS graded Proof 65. Boldly struck by the dies, with lovely blue obverse toning while the reverse is a blend of deep blue and aqua at the rims and legends, lightening to russet and gold to the centers. The reverse is somewhat dappled while the obverse is more uniform in tone. A tough coin to find this well preserved and attractive, as the vast majority of surivors fall well short in both surface quality and in the toning department. Here is one that will long be enjoyed by the lucky buyer. Only 625 struck. Pop 17; 10 finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 7015) Estimate Value $8,500 - 9,000

Unsold
