Lot 461

1844. PCGS graded MS-63. PQ. Nice light toning with semi-reflective surfaces on both sides. All the circulation strikes made show slight doubling on the shield and LIBERTY, and only a single die pair was used to coin these. Proofs were struck with a different obverse die. Only 20,000 struck, and here is one of the nicer examples known. An enticing example of this tough date in a highly desirable state of preservation. Pop 8; 4 finer, 3 in 64, 1 in 65. (PCGS # 6930) Estimate Value $7,000 - 7,500

Unsold
