Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Lot 385

1916. NGC graded MS-62 Full Head. Frosty and white with a touch of golden tone starting to form. This is the popular key date which represents the first year of issue. Only 32,000 struck and the entire batch of 1916 Standing Liberty quarters were released with the first group of 1917 quarters, so most of these entered circulation unnoticed. Hence, years later when date collecting became more popular, 1916 Standing Liberty quarters were downright scarce. Thus, nice Mint State coins like this, with full strikes, are in high demand from collectors. If you need a high grade example for your date set, don't miss this offering! Estimate Value $11,000 - 12,000
