1859-S. NGC graded AU-55. A nice white example. Examination confirms this piece is very close to mint state with just a touch of wear on the high points. The surfaces are clean and attractive, which adds to the already high appeal of this amazing 1859-S dime. Furthermore, the strike is sharp, notably on Liberty's head (an area often found far weaker in strike). This is one of the tougher issues to find in high frade from the entire Liberty Seated dime series. Only 60,000 struck. Pop 3; 2 finer in 62. Estimate Value $5,500 - 6,000
