1856. PCGS graded Proof 65. CAC. PQ. Boldly struck with lovely toning that ranges from brilliant russet orange to pale blue and lilac. There is a tiny but important diagnostic raised die lump on the rim above the D of UNITED, which is always found on these rare Proof coin of this date. When examining this majestic coin, make sure to notice the full wire rim around both sides, which attests to the depth of the strike. Boldly mirored fields and contrasting frost on the devices. Only 50 struck, with 40 to 50 examples estimated to have survived according to PCGS Pop Report. Pop 2; 6 finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 4434) Estimate Value $8,500 - 9,000
