Augustus. Silver Denarius (3.72 g), 27 BC-AD 14. Lugdunum, 15 BC. AVGVSTVS DIVI F, bare head of Augustus right. Reverse: IMP X in exergue, soldier standing right, presenting branch to Augustus seated left on curule chair set on low daïs. RIC I 162b; Lyon 9; BMC 160; RSC 135. Wonderful well-defined portrait of Augustus. Some planchet faults as made and some scattered marks and scratches. Toned and rare. Sharpness of Extremely Fine. Estimate Value $700 - 800
