1851/81 N-3 R1 Blundered Date 51 over Inverted 18 NGC graded MS64 Brown. Beautiful lustrous medium steel brown and light chocolate. This cent looks choice and flawless to the unaided eye but a glass reveals a faint pin scratch from the earlobe down to the top of the second 1 plus a couple other tiny scratches right of the date. M-LDS, die state b late. Most of the 51 over 81 (inverted 18) feature is gone but part of the undertype remains faintly visible on the right side of the second 1. A small lump has formed under the right top of the N in CENT. Our grade is MS60 sharpness net AU58. Estimate Value $400 - UP
