STS-71, The MIR Space Station and Shuttle Atlantis, Flown Patch, Flag and Assorted Files. STS-71 was the third mission of the US/Russian Shuttle-Mir Program and the first Space Shuttle docking to Russian space station Mir. From the collection of the Flight Director, a flown patch mounted on a NASA presentation certificate, unframed, to the Director. Also included is a Flown Flag (unmounted in same envelope with only a handwritten notation that it was flown on envelope) and brief notes. The file of notes covers a myriad of issues with regard to MIR (from 1993 to1995) including budgets for Russian Astronaut tour, training and what appears to be overlays for a presentation.
