STS-4 Shuttle Columbia, 5 NASA Work Manuals Dated April, May, June 1982. 3 NASA manuals for STS-4 (Columbia) property of the Flight Director notable as it carried a secret payload to detect missile launches that evidently failed. 1.) Ringed reference manual issued the Flight Operations Directorate Division, regarding Flight Data File Payload Systems Data and Malfunctions Procedures are actually two manuals one issued in April of 1982 and the revisions dated May 1982. These are crammed with pull out and detailed diagrams of the Shuttle focusing on a number of issues and details of specific areas. The Flight Data File Orbit Checklist is also included bringing this folio to three manuals. 2.) Space Transportation System, Flight Requirements for STS-4 dated May, 1982 and lays out mission objects, tests and other priorities required in these early Shuttle flights. 3.)
