Mammoth Archive of the Flight Director's Pertaining to The Approach and Landing Test Program ALT. The Approach and Landing Test Program was a series of taxi and flight trials of the prototype Space Shuttle Enterprise, conducted in 1977 to test the vehicle's flight characteristics, both on its own and when mated to the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft prior to the operational debut of the shuttle system. The success of this program accelerated the Shuttle Program, beginning in 1981. Offered is a heavy and very full file box of handwritten notebooks, printed Flight Test Plans, Evaluation Reports and nine (9) files of memos, notes and workbooks, all the personal property of one of the lead directors. These files and books are very nicely archived and a huge resource of the challenges and research prior to The Shuttle Program. Estimate Value $300 - UP
