Commemorative Presentaion of a Piece of the NASA Flight Control Room (FCR) Presented to the Flight Director. Presentation of a piece of the Flight Control Room presented in a wood plaque with a plate that reads "In Recognition Of His Outstanding Contributions To Mission Control This Piece Of The Apollo FCR Is Presented…." This is the facility where NASA monitored nine Gemini and all Apollo lunar missions, including the historic Apollo 11 trip to the moon and the final Apollo 17 trip to the same lunar body. It is located in Building 30 of NASA Johnson Space Center. We have been told this was a section of the hand rail. 8 x 9½" and in exellent condition, only one tiny scratch on plexiglass. We have another piece of the FCR made into a large fishing lure in this auction. Estimate Value $200 - UP
