Mercury Program Collection including Signed Photos by Scott Carpenter and John Glenn, Plus Original Freedom 3 Data Printout. Unusual collection of ephemera involving Project Mercury. 1) Fine, boldly signed B&W photo inscribed and signed "Best Regards, John Glenn" plus a Kennedy Center canceled stamp for the RSVP card for NASA's 10th Anniversary honoring Glenn's flight, 2) Three separate autographs of Scott Carpenter; one 8 x 10" color portrait, a signed cover for the official induction of the US Astronauts Hall of Fame in 1993 and the reverse of a business card. 3) a USPS window decal for the 4 cent Mercury Stamp Feb. 20th, 1962 4) An 8 x 10" aerial color photo of the flight tracking station built in the Canary Islands and a scarce cut section of a 14' long teletypewriter printout that had been used for Test 108 America's first manned space flight. 5) Parachute section of Flight MA 5 which carried Enos the chimp in November of 1961 affixed to COA with facts and photos. An original photo taken mechanically from inside capsule and finall handwritten notes by Mary Bubb legendary and first female reporter covering the space program where she notes on Western Union press message "Chimp only rose 70 - 85 and notes for the order of Mercury 7 Astronauts being launched into space at that time, which of course changed.
