Beautiful 19th Century 18K Gold and Enamel Locket with Emeralds and Sapphire. Elegant and beautifully hand made 19th century 18K gold locket that can be worn as a pendant or a brooch. Floral motif executed in blue, red and green enamel surrounded by small 18K "gold blossoms" accented with 5 small emeralds at the bottom and a single emerald at top. At the center of locket panel is a single prong set sapphire. Lock and hinge remain tight, and when opened can accommodate a photo 1¼ x 1". Overall the locket measures 1¾ x 1¼", shows very little evidence of age or use as was beautifully kept. No gold mark present but has been tested, with locket weighing a total of 18½ grams.
