Judaea: Impressive Cananite Pottery Chalice; Late Bronze Period, 14th Century, COA Attributing Ownership to Moshe Dayan. From the Late Bronze period of the 14th Century, a large pottery Canaanite style chalice found in a cave in a Samaritan hill. Stands an impressive 14" tall 8¼" diameter. We note restoration to a 3 inch section of the lip, and oil or some liquid staining the column. This piece was acquired in the early 1980s from Hillel Bar Sadeh who has a full COA describing where found and the following provenance: Originally sold to Moshe Dayan - Bought from Abu Romel in Shechem Casbah (Nablus) the original certificate conveying with the piece.
