1866 Needlework Sampler Made the Year After the Civil War Ended. Needlewood sampler, 9½ x 10" (visible) with "Grace Williams Aged 11 1866" stitched in red across the lower edge. She stitched a house, trees, flowers, birds, etc. in red and green against the light brown background of the sampler. Matted and framed to an overall size of 12¼ x 12½". Very sweet. Fine condition to be over 150 years old. Estimate Value $200 - UP
