Tiffany & Co. -- Early 20th Century Sterling Silver Reproduction of Paul Revere's Porringer, Given by Henry Luce, Time Magazine. Early 20th century reproduction of Paul Revere's porringer made of sterling silver by Tiffany & Co. This piece features a round bowl with ribbed accents to the interior with a pierced scroll handle. The underside is engraved with marks including, "Original in the Clearwater Collection Metropolitan Museum of Art Reproduction Original by Paul Revere SR Boston". 2 x 5¼ x 7¾" and weighs just over 8½ ozt. In fine condition commensurate for its age. A nice bit of history with this piece. On edge of bowl is engraving to Michael Edward Aldrich from Henry R. Luce and the Rest of his Father's Friends at Time Inc. Luce built a publishing empire on Time, Fortune, and Life magazines, becoming one of the most powerful figures in the history of American publishing. Estimate Value $300 - UP
