Weil, Shraga: "Seasons of Man" Complete Set of 7 Lithographs in Original Folio and Hardcase (1918 - 2009) Born in 1918 in Slovakia, he studied arts at the Arts Academy of Prague until the beginning of WWII. During the war, Weil was an active member of the Hungarian resistance, mainly in forging certificates and documents. In 1947 Weil went to Israel and joined Kibbutz HaOgen. and worked as an illustrator and designer of "HaPoalim" publishers, enjoying great success over the next 4 decades. His art reflects biblical subjects, Jewish tradition, life in the Kibbutz and more.

Seasons of Man: A suite of 7 Serigraphs 22 x 30" each printed by Safrai Gallery, Jerusalem with hardcover folio inside original cranberry-fabric-covered case with gilt lettering. Features the works "Maze", "Window", "Arena", "Garden", "Studio", "Temple", "Archives" and edition number 13 of 400 and weighs 19 pounds. Folio includes a comprehensive 16 page introduction of the works by Abba Kovman both in English and Hebrew and each serigraph protected in between title pages of each work that have been hand signed by the artist. A monumental presentation. Serigraphs and inside folio are nearly mint. The outer hardcase is in very fine condition with slight discoloration on right and bottom borders and a few scuffs.
