1917 Passport For a Jewish Couple -- Fred and Rosaline Dietz. Passport No. 43243, signed by Secretary of State Robert Lansing, for 22-year-old J. Fred Dietz and his wife Rosalind, who are going to Jamaica on vacation. Dietz' occupation is listed on verso as "manufacturer." He signed three times, once being on his photo. His wife's photo is present but she did not sign anything. The orange State Dept. seal is present at bottom center. The passport is 16½ x 11½; framed to 21½ x 16½"; a few scrapes to the wooden frame.
