12 Striking Commemorative Medals of The Holocaust. Severin Szperling is a world-known numismatist who owns the largest privately formed collection of Holocaust-related medals and coins. A Holocaust survivor himself, Szperling began his collection to keep alive the memory of his parents, who were among the six million Jews who perished. From his collection we are pleased to offer these 12 different commemorative (13 total), remembrances of the Holocaust. They include The 1993 50th Anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising issued by The State Mint of Poland, 300,000 Zl. proof Ag, 999, The Buchenwald National Monument & Remembrance one in copper and a duplicate in copper and nickel, the large heavy Commission for Investigation of German Crimes WWII cast in Zamac with black patina issued 1980, Gratitude Medal to Belgium Jews, 2004, Anne Frank Remembrance Medal in bronze issued by France, 1964, 40th Anniversary of the Deportation of Hungarian Jews in bronze, 1984, 30th Anniversary of Liquidation of Concentration Camps, Two styles one with raised tattooed number on arm in bronze, the other a hand holding a torch in silver plated bronze issued by Shekel Mint Co. and the Ghetto Fighters House, Israel, 1975, the 40th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp in copper issued by Poland, the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Camps in bronze issued by France and completing the collection the Memorial Medal of the Victims of Lodz Ghetto, 2004 issued by the National Bank of Poland and the State Mint.
