Vintage San Francisco Relics -- Includes Golden Gate Bridge Silver and Bronze 25th Anniversary Medal, Two Bolts, and Other Items. Two medals struck for the "25th Anniversary World's Greatest Suspension Bridge/ Golden Gate Bridge 1937 1962. One is stamped " .999+ Pure Silver"; weight is 64mm, 6.67 troy oz.; the other is stamped "Medallic Arts Co. N.Y. Bronze." Both are 2½" in diameter and were sculpted by Spero Anargyros. Other items in this lot include two bolts, one 6" and one 2"; a 3 x 3" piece of the famous life saving net, with information attached; a rusted 12" axe-head, said to have been found in the bridge; a souvenir ashtray; two vintage 3¾ x 6¼" boxes holding "A Part of the Catwalk Used in Constructing the Golden Gate Bridge"; a 5½ x 1½" vase from the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition; 1932 souvenir booklets for the War Memorial of San Francisco and one "Commemorating the Formal Opening of San Francisco's War Memorial Opera House A Temple of Music; and a 5¾ x 13½" oil painting on wood of the Golden Gate.
