Beautiful aquatint of a view of New York City and Harbor as seen from Weehawken, New Jersey, a popular vantage point for early views of the city. With details of 19th Century New York including many architecturally splendid churches, the tallest at the southern end of the island being Trinity Church. Strong plate impression. 15 x 18" modestly framed to 19¼ x 23¼.
