Carmel by the Sea (1868-1948) by Mary DeNeale Morgan, one of the most celebrated coastal California artists, whose legacy as a painter, teacher, preservationist and organizer has earned her several generations of admirers. Offered is a pastel and graphite work on paper capturing the coast in fog. Morgan has signed in lower right corner. Work measures 9 x 11" newly matted and framed to 18 x 21". On verso, a 2 x 2" window reveals a circular stamp she sometimes used. In excellent condition and absolutely lovely. Estimate Value $800 - UP
