Early 19th Century Oil on Panel. Intriguing 19th century painting of a table being set for a meal and wine. Oil on panel/board; artist's signature at lower right is illegible. That said, while the work is not executed in extreme detail, the painting captures beautifully a rural country home with a woman preparing a simple repast for two guests and the husband arriving, apparently late, greeted by the dog. Panel is 12 x 18" and comes in an antique frame 21 x 27 that adds immeasurably to the appeal. A nice antique piece. Estimate Value $400 - UP
