Baagoé, Carl Emile, 19th Century Danish Painter of Seascapes, Original Oil On Panel (1829-1902) Ships on a Calm Sea (1877) Popular 19th Century Danish painter who specialized in capturing seascapes and ships and of particular note the soft pastels of winter skies. Offered is this oil on panel 6½ x 9½ presented in a modern gilt wood frame. The pastel colors are a knockout and his attention to the haze in the skies compelling. Signed clearly in lower left corner, Carl Baagoè and dated 1877. Panel is in excellent condition and quite a lovely work. Estimate Value $1,000 - UP
