Auchinleck / F.M. / 8.11.75"); Field Marshal Earl Wavell, signature, rank and date ("Wavell / F.M. 19.4.49"), with transmittal envelope; Admiral Lord Louis Mountbatten, signature ("Mountbatten of Burma"); Field Marshal William Joseph Slim, TLS ("W.J. Slim") as Governor General of Australia, with holograph greeting; Joseph Stillwell, 1943 holograph envelope addressed to his wife and censored by him ("J.W. Stilwell, Lieut. Gen, USA"); General J. M. Wainwright, a 1947 free-franked envelope backed by brown paper, with a signature card ("J.M Wainwright / General USA") affixed to the lower left corner of envelope, and a small image at top left of backing, not touching envelope.
