Marie Emile Antoine Béthouart, cut signature and date ("A Bethouart / 16-11-46") of the French general who was the commander of the first Allied troops to reach the Danube and enter Austria; Air Force general Curtis E. LeMay, signature on 2 x 4" piece of paper; Robert W. Hasbrouck, name and rank ("Robert W.Hasbrouck / Major General, U.S. A. / Commanding 7th Armored Division"), with patch; Jacob L Devers, signature on card, with patch; Bill Mauldin FDC honoring Ernie Pyle, signed by the Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist famous for his WW II cartoons depicting American soldiers (with 30 Mauldin cartoons cut from a newspaper); also, a 1943 ALS by a soldier, A.L. McLaskey, about to become a "sargent," telling his girlfriend about the heavy responsibility of training men under his charge and having their lives and the success of a mission dependent on him, with free-franked envelope.
