Patton, George S., Jr. -- Signed Garrison Cap (1885-1945) American general and tank commander; considered one of the greatest military leaders in history. Khaki garrison cap signed "G S Patton Jr.," 5½ x 10¼", no place, no date. This cap has a pleated top and is called an issue cap because it was issued to all troops by the Quartermaster of the US Army. The cap shows some wear, we don't know by whom, but the signature is that of "Old Blood and Guts." Matted with a name plaque and a World War II-era photo of Patton standing on a pontoon bridge and attractively framed to an overall size of 29 x 19". Fine condition. Estimate Value $2,500 - UP
