MacArthur, Douglas -- Signed Photo in Civilian Clothing (1880-1964) Five-star general who played a prominent role in the Pacific theater during World War II and was dismissed by President Truman during the Korean War. Photo signed "Douglas MacArthur" in the lower border, 7 x 9", no place, no date. An older MacArthur, dressed in civilian clothing, sits in the back seat of a car, a smile on his face and his left hand raised in greeting. Very faint inscription across top says, "For Hon Clarence Cannon/ F.W.R."; this is also written in ink on the verso. A few old tape remnants at edges of verso; a 1" vertical split in left white border does not touch the image or signature. Estimate Value $200 - UP
