Autograph document signed as captain and brevet colonel, 4¼ x 7¾", Dec. 26, 1868. An order to pay Private E.S. Womack ten dollars. Five-star general Douglas MacArthur (1880-1964) Medal of Honor recipient for his service in the Philippines and on the Bataan Peninsula. Address given upon his acceptance of the Sylvanus Thayer Award, signed as General of the Army, May 12, 1962, 6½ pages. Accompanied by a 1985 FDC commemorating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Sylvanus Thayer, Father of West Point. Fine. Estimate Value $500 - UP
