Toscanini, Arturo (1867-1957). Italian conductor, a virtuoso known for the dynamic intensity and detailed phrasing of his interpretations. Card signed "Arturo Toscanini" and dated "August 21 - 1946," in green ink, 3 x 4¾", with a 3¢ stamp celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Smithsonian Institute. Matted with a silver gelatin photo, 5¾ x 4½", with imprint at lower left: "N.B.C. / Ray Lee Jackson / N.Y./ 1938" and framed to an overall size of 13¼ x 9". Fine condition. Estimate Value $300 - 500
