1837 N-5 R2 Medium Letters Reverse PCGS graded MS62 Brown, CAC Approved. PCGS graded MS-62 Brown. Glossy light brown and chocolate with frosty tan peeking through in protected areas. Smooth and attractive. The only notable marks are some tiny planchet flakes in the dentils over ED in UNITED (as struck). M-LDS. The obverse die is cracked and both sides show radial die flowlines. Our grade is EF45+ due to some light wear on the highpoints. This is a one-variety type for the 1837 date; only the N-5 variety has the smaller letters on the reverse (same as 1838) (PCGS # 1735) Estimate Value $300 - UP
