Judaea, Bar Kokbha Revolt. Silver Zuz (3.19 g). 132-135 CE. Undated, attributed to year 3 (134/5 CE). 'Simon' (Paleo-Hebrew) within wreath of thin branches wrapped around eight almonds, with a medallion at top and tendrils at bottom. Reverse: 'For the freedom of Jerusalem' (Paleo-Hebrew), fluted jug with handle on left. Hendin 1423; Mildenberg 128 (O19/R89); TJC 284a. Removed from an NGC slab graded Mint State; Strike: 3/5, Surface: 3/5. Attractive light toning with much of the Titus denarius visible (quadriga reverse, RIC 8). Estimate Value $1,000 - 1,200
