1797 S-133 R5 Stemless Wreath VG8. Sharpness VF25 but there are patches of corrosion and verdigris on both sides while much of the planchet is relatively smooth and glossy. The only notable contact mark is a dull scratch left of the first A in AMERICA. Rather glossy chocolate brown with lighter brown and chocolate toning on the devices. M-LDS, Breen state IV, with die clashmarks on the obverse and a fine die crack from the dentils over the bust tip to the bottom of the neck. Graded net VG8 by both Bland and Noyes. Comes with a very nice provenance. Estimate Value $450 - UP
