1797 S-129 R5 M over E in AMERICA G4. Very slightly sharper but there are a couple small patches of fine roughness in the obverse fields. Specks of greenish verdigris show in the roughened areas but there are no notable contact marks. Mostly glossy olive brown with lighter steel brown and chocolate toning on the devices. LDS, Breen state II, with faint die cracks down from the rim left of the hair ribbon. The date and legends are complete and easily readable but not especially strong. The M over E feature is weak but visible as well. Estimate Value $350 - UP
