Lot 192

1793 S-6 R3 Wreath Cent with Vine & Bars Edge PCGS graded AU53. PCGS graded AU-53. Choice glossy light to medium chocolate brown with frost in protected areas on both sides. The surfaces are smooth and this Wreath Cent has outstanding eye appeal. Just a few trivial marks from flawless. The notable marks are a tiny planchet lamination in the field above the bust tip, a thin planchet crease in the hair below the L in LIBERTY, a very small rim bruise left of the date, and a couple shallow planchet flakes at the edge outside the border beads at the top of the reverse. All but the tiny rim bruise are mint-made flaws, and none of them is significant. MDS, Breen state III, with a dull horizontal wave in the field behind the portrait extending across the portrait to the chin. Our grade is VF35+, very close to EF40. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 1 finer in AU55 for the variety, none finer. PCGS #35450. (PCGS # 35450) Estimate Value $20,000 - UP

Realized $26,400
