1879. PCGS graded Proof 65. A proof only date. Lovely blue toning on both sides, with lighter lemon and gold around the rims, deeper blue at the centers. The fields are watery and reflective, and show no distracting marks or lines. The strike is crisp and sharp, as expected for this issue. Amazing in quality and even more for the toning. Only 1,541 struck. Pop 39; 30 finer, 2 in 65+, 22 in 66, 6 in 67. (PCGS # 7059) Estimate Value $5,000 - 5,500
