1877-S Type 2 Rev. NGC graded MS-67 Plus. Lovely rainbow toning around the edges and toned to the centers with a light patina of golden iridescence. This is an amazing coin as the colors add to the overall appeal considerably. Then, when studied, the true picture comes into focus, as the surfaces are so incredibly clean! There's virtually no sign of contact on the devices or in the fields. Although the 1877-S is a plentiful issue, only one can stand at the very top of the heap and be the absolute finest--this coin!
