Lot 1371

1853. Arrows and Rays. NGC graded MS-66. Boldly struck with a hint of blue and golden toning especially around the reverse periphery. As the silver content was adjusted down a tad in 1853, production was cranked way up to try to replace all the prior years production of coins that were being melted as quickly as they were located by the smelters. Here's one of the new tenor coins that survived, and survived in outstanding condition. Pop 7; 4 in 67. Estimate Value $19,000 - 20,000

Unsold
