Lot 1271

1833. PCGS graded MS-67. LM-4.2. This is an amazing coin, first off the glorious frosty central details of Liberty are bright silver, with flecks of russet and blue toning accenting her hair curls as well as the letters of LIBERTY in her cap. The surrounding stars are offset by bright centers, surrounded by deepening blue and russet shades. Matching toning on the reverse, which closely follows the obverse shades. Sharply struck by the dies, and impressive quality just for the eye appeal alone, add to this the fantastic quality of the surfaces and you have an incredible, virtually unbeatable, combination. Tied with a select dozen as one of the finest seen by PCGS, topped only by a single example with the "+" grade at this level. An opportunity for the type or date specialist. Pop 12; 1 in 67+. (PCGS # 4280) Estimate Value $9,000 - 10,000
