Lot 1268

1831. PCGS graded MS-67. CAC. Nice blue and gold toning on the obverse, a bit less on the reverse. Incredible eye appeal and quality, the surfaces are alive with mint luster, and bathed in alluring toning. Although these tiny coins are impressive, rarely--in fact almost never--are they found so perfectly preserved! The surfaces are pristine, with no distracting handling marks or issues that are so commonly seen on these early silver coins. The strike is sharp throughout. It's certainly quite a special coin to earn the MS-67 moniker from PCGS, but then to get the CAC approval as well speaks volumes of the stunning quality offered here. A prize for the advanced type specialist. Pop 10; 2 finer, 1 in 67+, 1 in 68. (PCGS # 4278) Estimate Value $9,000 - 10,000
