Lot 1264

1800. NGC graded MS-64. Boldly struck on all the devices, particularly on Liberty's head and hair, as well as the eagle's wings. There is a small die flaw below the date (as struck), and a tiny edge flaw in the planchet between stars four and five on the obverse, which will serve to hallmark this important coin. Both sides offer lovely toning which is a feast for the eyes with antique russet and blue shades. An impotessive type coin which is always in strong demand, especially when found this close to the gem grade level. Pop 20; 7 in 65; 2 in 66; 1 in 67. Estimate Value $17,000 - 18,000
