1870. PCGS graded MS-66. CAC. Nicely toned with a splash of russet mixed with gold over vibrant, and nearly perfect, surfaces. A tough date in all grades, especially so at this lofty grade. Close to the absolute top of those known in Mint State, and a prize for the date collector seeking a high end example to represent this date and mint. Needs a new holder. Only 3,000 struck.
