1794 C-3a R5 Small Edge Letters G5. Slightly sharper, especially on the reverse, but the obverse is covered with fine pinscratches that break the natural patina. There are a few hairline scratches hidden in the toning on the reverse but no additional contact marks. Traces of very fine greenish verdigris are visible in protected areas, mostly on the reverse. Slightly glossy chocolate brown with lighter steel brown toning on the devices. The date is easily readable but not strong while the remainder of the legends are clear. EDS, Manley state 1.0, without the minor bulge under the bust. Weight 102.5 grains. Estimate Value $400 - UP
