Lot 390

1814 S-294 R1 Crosslet 4 PCGS graded AU53. Very attractive lustrous medium chocolate brown and steel. No trace of roughness or verdigris, only a few very light contact marks. The notable ones are a couple faint hairlines over the 14 in the date and a half dozen microscopic pinpricks under the earlobe. M-LDS, Breen state II. There are die clashmarks on both sides and subtle swelling in the field off the tip of the bust. The repunching on the bottom of the N in ONE remains clear. Our grade is AU50 but the eye appeal is consistent with a slightly higher grade. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $2,500 - UP

Realized $2,938
