1857 C-1 R2 PCGS graded MS64 Brown. Frosty medium brown and light chocolate with hints of underlying lighter toning faded down from mint color in protected areas. The only notable mark is a spot of slightly darker reddish chocolate toning (not carbon) off the lower point of star 4. Sharply struck EDS showing radial lines in all the stars and fine die polishing lines on the upper right part of the reverse. There is fine doubling on TED-STATES but none on the remainder of the legend outside the wreath. Our grade is MS63. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3; 2 finer in 65 for the variety. Estimate Value $500 - UP
