Lot 222

1855 C-1 R1 PCGS graded MS65 Brown. Frosty uniform medium steel brown and light chocolate with traces of mint color remaining on both sides, especially on the reverse. Satiny mint luster covers both sides and this piece offers excellent eye appeal. The only mark, and it is barely visible, is a very light rim bruise at star 13. E-MDS. The dentils are not fully struck but they are better impressed than on most of this date. Our grade is MS63. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 4; 1 finer in 66 for the variety. Estimate Value $600 - UP
