Lot 160

1826 C-1 R1 PCGS graded MS64 Brown, CAC Approved. Lustrous light to medium brown with chocolate brown toning on the highpoints of the obverse. Traces of faded mint red are visible on the reverse. The notable marks, and they are insignificant, are a spot of darker chocolate brown toning between stars 6 & 7, a streak of similar toning off the left point of star 11, and a very faint diagonal hairline in the field between the tip of the nose and star 5. LDS, Manley state 5.0. The myriad die lines right of the date are mostly gone, the lines from the top of the head are gone, and the die crack at stars 1-3 reaches very faintly to star 4. The reverse is rotated slightly CCW. Our grade is MS60. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 5; 5 finer, 3 in 65, 2 in 66 for the variety. Estimate Value $1,000 - UP
