Lot 156

1825 C-2 R1 NGC graded MS64 Brown. Frosty medium olive and bluish steel with traces of very faded mint color on both sides, especially on the reverse. The best identifying mark is a small spot of lighter golden tan toning off the upper left point of star 13. A nearly flawless half cent but the luster is a bit subdued by a thin layer of natural oxidation. M-LDS, Manley state 2.0 late. The end of the wreath stem is barely visible and the die clashmark that slants through the berry over AL in HALF is faint. Our grade is MS62. NGC population 1; 2 finer, 1 in 65, 1 in 66. Estimate Value $2,000 - UP
