Lot 130

1809 C-4 R2 Large 0 over Small 0 PCGS Unc Details, Damage. Frosty light steel brown and tan faded to chocolate on the highpoints. Traces of tan faded down from mint color are visible on both sides, and an arc of slightly darker olive brown toning covers the left half of the obverse. There is no trace of wear on this piece, but there is a trail of five dull pinpricks from the eye down to the bottom of the neck. These small contact marks blend perfectly into the toning and do not catch your eye. Otherwise this piece is lustrous and free of any notable defects. E-MDS, Manley state 1.0. The "circle inside 0" feature is clear and dentils are visible around the entire obverse and most of the reverse. A very nice example of this popular "Redbook" variety. Our grade is MS60 sharpness net AU55. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. Only 2 graded MS at PCGS. Estimate Value $2,000 - UP
